About Hebron and Buckeye Lake
Calling itself “Hebron Historic Crossroads of Ohio”, this village of 2000 is situated on Route 40, the “Old National Trail” highway. The village is also situated near Interstate 70, providing ready access to Columbus to the west, and Zanesville, Cambridge, and Wheeling to the east. With a rich history dating back to the Ohio Canal days, Hebron has today attracted several large businesses and is a growing and attractive community.
Hebron is also located on the northern boundaries of the Buckeye Lake Region. Buckeye Lake itself is bordered by 3 counties (Licking, Fairfield, and Perry) and was created in its present form by the building of the Ohio Canal around 1825. The lake became Ohio’s first state park and today offers a host of recreational activities including boating, fishing, sailing, water skiing, swimming, picnicking, ice fishing, snowmobiling, ice boating, shopping, hiking and camping.
Hebron and Buckeye Lake are a 30-minute drive to downtown Columbus and the Port Columbus International Airport.
